I told you some stuff about my Instax mini 8 polaroid camera but I never really showed you pictures I made with it. By now I made some "real" photos with it, so not only fun pictures with friends but also some landscapes. They are instant pictures - like polaroids usually are - and so it wasn't that easy to get them digital on my computer. There are only two possibilities: to make photos of them or to scan them. Photographing them didn't really work because I always had some reflections on them. And so I asked my roommate to use her scanner and finally scanned all twenty polaroid pictures I ever made. Today I want to show you four pictures. The first picture, in the upper left corner, shows the street in Cape Town I lived in for six weeksandin the background you see the a little blurred Table Mountain. I made the second picture, in the upper right corner, at my last photoshooting with Jacky, it's a little bit dark but I like the style. You already know the motive of the third picture at the lower left, which is the sea in snow were I also tested my grey filter. The last picture, at lower right, shows a forest in snow and the shadows of my boyfriend and me and I kind of really like it.
You don't have a lot of liberties in camera settings and something like that so I just made some pictures and waited what they will be like. I think they are a little bit dark, but they have this nice polaroid style that I also know from old polaroid pictures. That was pretty important for me and so I think they are really good, just as they are.
What do you think of the pictures? And are you as big polaroid fans as me?
